Pop vs. Soda

Looks like where I grew up in NY state is on a border between "pop" and "soda"--no wonder I was so confused...

people have always said it was weird that I call it "coke," and that that is a very southern thing and doesn't fit my Indiana background. But the map has spoken and I am quite justified in calling it a coke coming from central Indiana!
